H2O: A Systemic Water Entrepreneurship Project in Bangladesh

Drinking water crisis is one of the most crucial problems in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh. Though there are lots of surface water but neither they are drinkable nor useable for household purposes because of salinity, turbidity and other bacterial contamination. To solve drinking water crisis in the southwest coastal area, LEDARS has been providing different water technologies. Under this project LEDARS will set up two Reverse Osmosis (RO) technologies through local enterprise development. Swisscontact Bangladesh is providing financial support where LEDARS is working as local implementing partner. The project will also work on creating awareness of water related issues and importance of drinking safe drinking water to the community people. In this project, more than 1700 people will have access to safe drinking water and more than 2000 people will get awareness on the necessity of drinking safe drinking water.
