A Climate Change workshop was arranged for youth climate activist at Shyamnagar Grameen Conference Center at 22 September 2019. The Workshop has been inaugurated by Ms. Khaleda Ayub Dolly, Vice Chairman of Shyamnagar Upazila parishad. The session was presided over by by Freedom fighter Master Nazrul Islam, the chairman of LEDARS executive committee. In this day long program, the causes, effect and magnitude of losses due to climate change has been discussed. The role of youth was also highlighted to reduce carbon emission. Ranjit Kumar Mondal, Project Coordinator of LEDARS facilitated the workshop where he highlighted the science-based descriptions of climate change, the impact of climate change on the public life of coastal area people and the role of youth in tackling the negative effects of climate change. 30 young activist from Shymnagar and Kaligonj Upazilla Youth Forum attended the workshop. At the end of the workshop, each Union Youth forum adopted an action plan for their community.
