Coastal areas are the mostly affected by climate change which has increased salinity and has also placed the people of the region at high risk of health hazards. According to medical experts, the chances of suffering from various diseases including high blood pressure are increasing for the residents of these areas. Studies have indicated that 6.8%-39.5% increased rate of preeclampsia and hypertension in pregnant mothers in salinity-affected areas. Apart from this, due to salinity, the uterine infection of coastal women has increased alarmingly. Preeclampsia and high blood pressure among pregnant mothers and uterine infections among women are higher in coastal areas. From here all patients with uterine tumor, uterine prolapse and fistula are transferred to Friendship Hospital for operation.
